Who we are

cup.eroocs.com is an independent website that lets you throw a pair of crescent wooden blocks — jiaobei — in a browser. The product name in Chinese is 双杯. The site itself is cup.eroocs.com.

We built this for people who are curious about a well-known East Asian folk custom, and who want a quiet, visual way to sit with one yes-or-no question. The site is available in Chinese, English, and Japanese.

cup.eroocs.com is not a temple, shrine, or religious institution. It is not endorsed by any palace, church, or cultural authority. No deity is depicted here.

What you can do here

On the home page you write one specific matter, then throw two cups:

• Yang is the flat face. Yin is the rounded face.
• One yin and one yang is a balanced throw (often called Sheng).
• Two yang means the question is still unclear.
• Two yin means not now, or set the matter down.

There are two modes. Simple mode is one throw and one reading. Devout mode asks for three balanced throws in a row before the site treats the asking as clearly allowed — a custom kept here as a game rule, not as a religious rite.

You can choose a cup style. Small animals, if any, sit only on the yin face. The yang face stays crimson.

Entertainment only

cup.eroocs.com is for entertainment, cultural curiosity, and personal reflection only. It is not fortune-telling, prophecy, or professional, medical, legal, financial, or religious advice. A throw does not decide your life. You remain responsible for your own choices.

Results are produced at random, unless a question is too vague or clearly unlawful. Vague questions return an “ask again” result. Questions about harm, crime, or abuse are refused.

How we handle what you type

You do not need an account. A question you type is processed in your browser. If you finish a throw, the question and result may be saved in this device’s local storage so you can open the log later. We do not upload your wish to our servers. You can clear the log in the app, or by clearing this site’s data in your browser.
